WHAT IS DESIGN PRACTICE?


You will only get out what you put in.
3 ways to think about it is your practice based on these:
  • Appropriateness of response
  • Quality of resolution
  • Meeting the deadline.
Appropriateness of response-
  • What is the PROBLEM
  • Who is the AUDIENCE
  • What is the CONTEXT
  • What is the METHOD of DELIVERY
What is a PROBLEM? Are you being asked to or Do you want to... Is the brief specificly asking you to do something, or are you doing something personal.

Persuade, inform, promote, educate, entertain, explain, clarify, organise clarify, confuse, engage ……….?

Ask a question, make a statement, give an order, deliver an instruction, make someone laugh/cry…..?
