My Website Proposal - Development

MY WEBSITE PROPOSAL - DEVELOPMENT 

Before i could begin designing i needed to make some initial sketches and ideas so i knew what was going on which page and how i would have each page laid out. I made four different home page layouts that would keep the same theme on the next pages. 

Sketches initial ideas - 

I also made a list of which pages link from which pages so when i designed it was straight forward and worked in a consistent way.

Layout mockups -

I decided to make some layout mockups in indesign before i began designing just so i knew how big everything was going to be on the page and to see which pages looked the best.

DESIGNING-

I began using the same type as the the rest of my branding and placed it out on a page using the titles

ABOUT WORK & ASK ME?

I added the small icons for the social network signs on the same line as my logo.

I next added the titles underneath my logo on the left on side. 

Icons with titles-

I added a small amount of text using the cheddar jack typeface i had previously used.

Adding images for my work page-

I didn't really like the style of my website so i decided to have another go at designing it. 

New design-

I decided to make it digital and design related as possible to have crop marks around my titles on the page like an image or a document.

I next decided to have the background colour the same as the colour in my pattern on my branding with a lower opacity. 

I next added some information about myself 

'My name is Victoria Redmond'

'I specialise in branding and digital design'.

I next centralised my logo.

Final first page-

For my work page i added began adding my images in a square style across the document.

I decided to have the first image in full colour and the other images with 50 % opacity until they are clicked on.

When clicking on the image it would take you to the appropriate page filled with more images and information about the brief all the icons along the top and bottom would stay the same on every page.

Making sure i follow a grid and all my images are lined up properly.

Final Work page-

For the final page i created a box where people would be able to ask me questions or leave there details about existing work or  new briefs.

Im really pleased i decided to re-do the design as i wasn't happy with the first one this style is much better suited to me and my design practice.
