Personality practice

PERSONALITY PRACTICE
There were my 3 designs for one for each person - Danielle , Kirsty & Me.

In the session in the group of 3 we were in we got given some small rectangle pieces of paper and we first asked to write , remember our lists from last week and make a note of our 5 design practice skills and 5 things about your personality. I found it difficult to remember.
We next got asked what were the five things we tried to show in our design  (our free ads.)
The next list was the 5 things that represent you from the ads that were created for you & 5 things that didn't . I found this difficult because both designs worked really well for me i could only pic one fault in each. All of my adds were really similar.
The next thing we did was go to another table were there was another set of 9xA3 ads and make a list of 5 words or statements that each set communicated and 5 different things there communicating.

Lastly we put our own free ad and the two created for us together, all my ads were almost the same apart from the bottom one which was different. We made lists of the things that were the same and the things that were different for our own and the other people in our set of 3.
I found this task beneficial and interesting , as everyone in my group had the same aesthetics and design practice we liked a lot of similar artists. It was interesting to view there blogs and find work/artists&blogs that i love but haven't ever seen before.

IF YOUR GOING TO BE A DICK BE A DICK

TASK-

5 STATEMENTS ABOUT ME AS AN INDIVIDUAL, MY PREFERENCES & BELIEVES.

This is my house in Melbourne Australia , i lived in Australia at two different times its my favourite place in the whole world I've seen some amazing things and had my best life experiences there.
Fashion is important to me and style i love looking on clothing websites and clothing blogs my favourite is AQUA COUTURE.
I love geometric shapes especially triangles! I love them because of the angles and the clean cut design. I have a lot of triangle things such as jewellery and clothing.
I have really bad plug&door OCD i have to unplug and turn everything off before i leave my room and i check my door at least 3 times to make sure I've definitely locked it.
Im really passionate about music and i have a really broad music taste , music helps me constrate and i create playlists for different parts of the day like if I'm walking or for bed.

5 STATMENTS AS A DESIGNER - WHAT I WANT , WHAT  WANT TO DO(represent you and your practice)

The area of design that interests me the most is editorial design and publishing. I feel as though my layout and grid skills and understanding has improved vastly and this increases my passion more for editorials. I aspire to work on the fashion side of editorials.

My understanding of type has really changed my perception of graphic design and how important it is and how it affects different types of design and how aesthetically pleasing it is.

Learning about modernist design had changed my broadened my outlook on my design practice.

Geometric shapes are a big part of minimalist and clean cut design which i would say is one of my favourite style.
Ive realise the importance of blogs they help create and develop your practice. Blogs are good to document your work and create a portfolio for your work. Graphic design blogs are also a good way to research and find work that influences you and inspires.
