MODULE EVALUATION

1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?

I have developed the skills to self evaluate my self at a high standard taking a look at my design presence and gaining the ability define my self as a person and where I want to go in the future.I have further developed my skills working as part of a group. Especially when setting up the small business I gained ability to work with like-minded people researching and organising our business to a professional standard.

2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?

I have definitely developed my design presence making sure I have thoroughly researched in to existing branding and self-branding to gain a wider knowledge of what collateral people have and they style they produce them in. I have tried a different binding method I haven’t used before it worked successfully. I also have researched and used different colour schemes I usually go for but work to represent me as a designer.

3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?

Being very involved within the group and setting up meetings also making sure I document all of the decisions and work we did. Another strength would be my ability to make quick design decisions when producing my small booklet for the pack I needed to make the size and weight appropriate for the binding method I had chosen I feel like I did this successfully. 

4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future?

A weakness of mine would possibly be having a limited role within the group as I was in charge of the aesthetics and colour choices I think I didn’t really get an insight into much of the money side as I would of liked. I will change this in the future even when the roles are split evenly I will make a point of looking at everyone’s research thoroughly to gain a better understanding of our group work as a whole.Another weakness possibly not setting aside enough time as a I would of liked and I would of liked to produce more mock ups to help my work be more accurate.

5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?

• Manage my time better so I can achieve a higher quality of work in a shorter time. 

• Proof read thoroughly to avoid spelling mistakes or any spacing. 

• Research even further to gain a wider range of information and sources; I expect this will help my design decisions and elements within group work. 

• I will make sure I research into more studios appropriate to my design practice. 

• Make more mock-ups this will help me have more variation with my work and make it more precise.
