Group Crit 27.10

GROUP CRIT

Today we had a group crit we decided to split our group into two so we had a smaller group and we would have longer to talk about our work.

The people in my group were  : Laura , Issy Jnae & Sam.

When it was mine and Sams turn we spoke about our collaboration brief which we have spent most of our time on at this stage. We talked about what was already going into the magazine and what we already researched.

We explained to the other people in our group about what we wanted to have in our publication but we felt there was areas where it was lacking and it may need more content.

Feedback-

-You should speak to marketing see if they can offer you any information.

-Feedback from students

-Little articles written about the course.

-Consider our audience so we include the right information.

Me and sam had a conversation after and decided we will now include peer feedback for the professionals coming in. That way we can explain in our publication how the students actually felt about the day and what they got out of it.

Also in the crit i quickly asked about my first brief the skin care brand

Questions i asked:

-Should i decide on an underlining theme as i feel as though the brand doesn't have a direct 'meaning' behind it.?
-Unsure on the name?
-I want it to be high end but i don't know where to start with the theme behind it

Feedback i received:

-Dont worry so much about a meaning but have a look at what other skin care brands are out there and what countries there from.

- Work out your audience although its high end is it for women or just unisex ?

-Because your style is minimal a lot of high end products are minimal so it will work.

I thought the crit was very beneficial it was in a small group which i felt worked better and we all got to speak for a little longer about a few things. I feel more confident about both the briefs after having the crit and I'm looking forward to applying this feedback to the briefs to get the best outcome.
