I was particularly interested in this studio as it specialises in editorial design & branding. After researching the website and looking through the showcase of work it appealed to me and this was a studio i would defiantly consider applying for a placement. Unfortunately after further research i released they don't offer placements, i will look for other creative studios who specialise in the same kind of design.

Duo is just the two of us, Paul & Emily, just little old us creating big new things.Yeah, there’s only us two, but didnt someone once say big things come in small packages? Or what about two heads are better than one?
In our own two heads there is more than 14 years experience working together in the creative industry and we occasionally knock them together to spark new ideas.
There’s no secret formula to these creative sparks, no set rules and no guidelines for us to follow, as years of practice have proven no client is the same. We prefer the method of conversation, a good chin wag to get to know what makes our clients tick, to understand their values and turn them into something successful and inspiring. This approach hasn’t failed us yet and working this way ensures our clients receive the best personal service, upon which long lasting relationships and perfect brands are built. So when you call, which we hope
you will, you won’t talk to our receptionist and you won’t talk to our PA’s, you’ll just speak to us, just little old us, Paul & Emily aka Duo
I had applied to this studio over the summer and unfortunately didn't hear anything back but i plan to contact them again to perhaps go for a visit before i apply for a placement again and go make the connection with Paul and emily by meeting them in person and seeing how here studio works.

UNIT
About UNIT
UNIT is a diverse graphic design practice based in Leeds LS1 & LS13 founded by Si Billam in 2010.
Our work ranges from public art installations and global branding to local government, regeneration projects and music industry art direction. We have built a reputation for producing creative solutions that go beyond the traditional boundaries that graphic design is contained within.Although still in our infancy, our work has already reached across the globe as far as the US and been featured in exhibitions in Europe — most recently at a fringe event to the famous SONAR festival in Barcelona.
SPLIT
We’re passionate about helping individuals and organisations to realise their potential through the design process.Working closely with our clients to fully understand and appreciate their needs, we aim to produce work that is that is considered, has real heart and doesn't break the bank.
To us, design is about creating engaging concepts that effectively solve problems and balance the many factors of a brief. Its about never having to sacrifice creativity in the process, and about executing these concepts in the most effective and appropriate way, with care and attention to detail.
